"Some time ago I took a quick look at the ancestry of Frank Morley. Various sources [1, 2, 3] name his father as Joseph Roberts Morley. Joseph's baptism (23 August 1822 at Woodbridge) is recorded in the Suffolk Quaker records (IGI batch C00940-9, FHL film 811725). The parents were William and Hannah Morley. The 1851 census enumeration for Woodbridge says William was born in that place in about 1789. This is consistent with the 30 July 1789 St Mary, Woodbridge baptism of one William Marley. The parents are listed as Reynolds Marley and Susan Vinson. This couple married 24 October 1778 at Southwold, Suffolk. I have not consulted the original parish records, only the IGI index."
